Student Success Coordinator
The Student Success Coordinator at Confidential Client supports traditional undergraduate students by providing academic and career advising, facilitating timely degree completion, and serving as the primary liaison between students and campus resources. This role involves monitoring student progress, promoting retention strategies, collaborating with various campus departments, and participating in recruitment and orientation events to enhance the overall student experience and success.

What You’ll Do
The Student Success Coordinator supports student retention and timely degree completion for an assigned caseload of traditional undergraduate students. You will act as a primary contact for students, provide academic and career advising, and coordinate across campus to remove barriers to progress.
- Provide academic and career advisement and registration assistance for undergraduate students, including degree requirement guidance and four-year graduation planning.
- Conduct semester schedule planning and create individualized graduation plans.
- Participate in academic registration events for new and readmit students; advise on policies (major/minor declarations, leave of absence, withdrawals, readmit processes).
- Maintain a year‑round communication cycle with assigned students and promote critical deadlines.
- Serve as liaison between students and campus resources (Financial Aid, Registrar, Disability Services, Academic Resource Center, Career Services).
- Monitor and support the registration process (prerequisites, permissions, unit limits, follow-up with part‑time students).
- Maintain electronic advising records (4‑year plans, registration checklists) and protect student privacy per FERPA.
- Track students through the application-for-graduation process in coordination with Registrar staff.
- Use Degree Tracker, Ellucian Colleague/self-service, and other campus tools to forecast progress and support persistence/retention goals.
- Proactively identify at‑risk students (academic probation, provisional admittance, progress reports) and provide interventions or referrals.
- Represent Student Success at recruiting, advising, and orientation events; present to prospective students when needed.
- Maintain an active on-campus presence and participate in student activities when appropriate.
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to build supportive relationships with students, faculty, staff, and families.
- Ability to maintain confidential student records and exercise discretion in accordance with FERPA and institutional policies.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working with databases or student information systems and comfort learning new campus technology.
- Strong student‑service orientation; able to work independently and collaboratively across campus partners.

Preferred Qualifications
- One or more years of experience in academic advising, student services, higher education administration, counseling, admissions, or another student-facing role.
- Working knowledge of student development theory, community engagement, internships, and career development.
- Experience with Ellucian products (Colleague, Degree Tracker) or similar student information systems.
- Coursework or training in student success / higher education.
- Participation in a faith community and/or experience supporting students in faith-based environments (preferred only where applicable).
Compensation & Employment Type
- Employment type: Contract / Full‑time (non-exempt), benefit‑eligible.
- Expected pay range: $24.00 – $25.00 per hour. Placement within the range is commensurate with education and experience. The confidential client also offers a benefits package.
