What You’ll Do
The Confidential Client is seeking a Student Nurse Technician to support patient care and unit operations in a hospital setting (Montrose, OH). This entry-level role works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and helps deliver safe, compassionate care across areas such as Pre-Admission Testing, Pre-Op, and PACU.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and meal assistance
- Obtain and record vital signs; report abnormal findings to the RN promptly
- Perform basic clinical tasks under supervision: blood glucose testing, specimen collection (urine/blood), EKGs, and IV/Foley catheter removal
- Assist with patient transfers, transport, and discharge activities; escort patients to testing or pre-op areas using proper identification
- Maintain a clean, safe environment: disinfect rooms/equipment, restock bedside and unit supplies, replace sharps containers
- Manage linens: distribute clean linens, collect soiled linens, make beds, and report maintenance or laundry issues
- Run routine unit errands (transporting specimens/documents/equipment) and support unit staff (answering phones, assisting clerical staff) under RN direction
What We’re Looking For
- Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Nursing) — completion of at least one clinical rotation preferred
- Previous patient care or customer service experience preferred
- Basic clinical skills and demonstrated professionalism around patients and staff
- Required certification: BLS (must be obtained within 3 months of hire)
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow RN direction
- Ability to stand, lift, and move patients/equipment per unit requirements
Schedule, Location & Employment Type
- Location: On-site — Montrose, OH (hospital setting)
- Schedule: Day shift, variable; PRN status with a minimum of 24 hours in a 4‑week period (confirm scheduling details during interview)

Compensation
