What You’ll Do

  • Assist in the structural design of precast concrete building systems under the mentorship of experienced engineers.
  • Perform structural calculations and engineering analysis with guidance from senior staff.
  • Learn to design beams, columns, walls, floor systems, stairs, and other structural components.
  • Develop engineering details, calculations, and construction documents.
  • Coordinate with Project Engineers, Project Managers, Manufacturing, and Field Operations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in design meetings and collaborate to solve real-world engineering challenges.
  • Learn and apply industry-standard structural analysis software and engineering tools.
  • Visit manufacturing facilities and project sites to see how designs are fabricated and installed.
  • Support multiple projects while building technical and project-management skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
  • EIT certification, or ability to obtain it shortly after graduation.
  • 0–3 years of structural engineering experience (internships/co-ops welcome).
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a strong desire to grow a long-term career in structural engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework in reinforced concrete, steel design, structural analysis, or seismic design.
  • Experience with ETABS, RAM, RISA, SAP2000, or similar structural analysis software.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM software.
  • Interest in precast concrete design and construction.

Compensation & Employment

  • Employment type: Full time (Contract)
  • Competitive compensation: $85,000–$100,000 annually (depending on experience)
  • Pay schedule and benefits details available through our client
