Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Structural Engineering New Grad to join their Fort Worth, TX structural team. This is a full-time, in-office position focused on hands-on design, analysis, and project delivery across commercial, civic, education, aviation, and infrastructure projects in the Dallas–Fort Worth region and throughout Texas. This role provides structured mentorship, training, and opportunities to develop toward professional licensure.
What You’ll Do
- Support structural design and analysis for building systems using steel, concrete, wood, masonry and related materials
- Produce construction documents, specifications, and calculations that comply with code and firm standards
- Assist with construction administration tasks including submittal reviews and jobsite observations
- Work with senior engineers to analyze low- to medium-complexity problems and propose practical design solutions
- Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and documentation of design decisions
- Communicate technical information clearly to clients, team members, and stakeholders
- Participate in quality control and continuous improvement initiatives
- Stay current on industry trends, sustainable design (including SE2050 goals), and BIM tools
- Travel occasionally (up to 5%) for client meetings or site work
What You’ll Bring
Education
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering (required)
Required Skills & Abilities
- Solid understanding of structural systems and design standards for steel, concrete, wood, and masonry
- Strong technical and analytical skills in structural mechanics and materials
- Familiarity with industry-standard structural analysis and design software
- Basic knowledge of BIM workflows and tools
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability, and eagerness to learn
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
- Willingness to travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays
Preferred
- Master’s Degree (MS) in Structural Engineering
- Prior internship experience in building design or consulting
- Engineering-in-Training (EIT) certification
