What You’ll Do
- Provide guidance and oversight on structural engineering aspects of transportation infrastructure and bridge projects in support of project teams.
- Review and evaluate structural drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations for compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Perform site inspections to assess structural integrity, identify risks, and recommend corrective or mitigation measures.
- Collaborate with designers, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve structural issues during design and construction.
- Review and approve method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals related to structural work.
- Conduct periodic structural assessments and recommend strengthening, repair, or modification solutions.
- Prepare technical reports, engineering calculations, and project documentation; maintain clear project correspondence.
- Act as a technical liaison among project stakeholders and respond to structural-related inquiries from clients and authorities.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of relevant professional experience (entry level).
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and basic spreadsheet/data entry skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare technical reports.
- Basic math and engineering calculation skills; willingness to learn and grow.
- No professional registration required for this role (PE not required).
Compensation & Benefits
- Expected compensation range: $65,000 – $85,000 annually (depends on skills, experience, and location).
