What You’ll Do

This entry-level Structural Design Engineer role supports the full project lifecycle for power and industrial projects within a construction-driven engineering group. You will contribute to conceptual design, structural analysis, drawing preparation, and coordination with construction and fabrication teams to deliver safe, constructible designs.

  • Assist in preparation of designs for assigned structures, including research, system selection, analysis, and drawing preparation for projects of moderate to large complexity
  • Perform and review structural calculations; apply department and industry standards to calculations, drawings, and specifications
  • Incorporate EPC contract, RFP, or professional service agreement requirements into deliverables
  • Coordinate with internal disciplines, construction teams, vendors, fabricators, and owners to resolve structural issues
  • Prepare, monitor, and update project plans, schedules, and budgets (including staffing needs)
  • Help refine processes and workflows as the team grows and adapts to new markets
  • Support department managers in achieving team performance goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering (structural focus) from an ABET-accredited program; master’s coursework preferred
  • GPA ~3.0 preferred
  • 0–2 years of structural design engineering experience in Power/Industrial preferred
  • Practical experience with engineering software such as SAP2000, SAFE, SpMats, and MathCAD
  • Proficient with spreadsheets, databases, and standard office tools
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work during normal business hours and occasionally overtime/weekends as project schedules require
  • Regular, reliable attendance and ability to work at varying locations and site conditions

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated salary: $100,668 per year (estimated)

Additional Details
