What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Structural Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) — a new graduate ready to build practical experience in structural analysis and design. In this entry‑level role you'll work under licensed Professional Engineers and contribute to real projects from day one.
- Perform structural analysis and design calculations for building systems
- Prepare structural reports, drawings, and construction documents
- Assist with quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and specification review
- Support field investigations and construction observation to verify existing and in‑progress conditions
- Learn and apply CAD and BIM tools (AutoCAD, Revit) to produce accurate drawings and models
- Research design solutions, reference codes and standards, and incorporate feedback from senior engineers and architects
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (architects, civil, mechanical, electrical) to integrate structural elements into full building designs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural concentration from an ABET‑accredited program
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam passed by the start date
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with teammates and clients
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and be able to obtain a security clearance as required by certain projects
- Eagerness to learn and pursue the Professional Engineer (PE) licensure pathway
