Position overview
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Structural Engineer (Buildings) to join their Rochester, NY team. This role offers hands-on experience in the structural design and analysis of commercial, institutional, and residential building projects using steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and existing/legacy building systems.
What You’ll Do
- Work with project teams to perform structural design and analysis from conceptual and preliminary stages through construction.
- Prepare drawings and specifications that support design intent and code compliance.
- Conduct site investigations and document existing conditions.
- Perform field reviews during construction and coordinate with contractors and design team members.
- Support production tasks and technical deliverables as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (structures emphasis preferred).
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- E.I.T. registration preferred.
- 0–3 years of relevant structural engineering experience preferred.
- Familiarity with REVIT Structure preferred.
- Familiarity with structural analysis software (RISA, SAP, RAM, etc.) preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay range: $35.00–$38.00 per hour (provided in source posting).
