Position Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Structural Drafter / Revit Technician to join their engineering team in Lansing, MI. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who has exposure to Revit (through school, internships, or early career experience) and wants hands-on drafting experience on commercial, industrial, and multifamily projects. This is a contract-to-hire, full-time role and is fully onsite in Lansing.

What You’ll Do

• Create and revise construction drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
• Incorporate redlines, markups, and design revisions into project documents
• Help develop floor plans, foundation plans, sections, details, and structural drawings
• Assist engineers and architects with project drafting and drawing updates
• Maintain organized project files and adhere to drafting standards
• Participate in project coordination with engineering and architectural teams
• Support quality checks and drawing reviews prior to delivery

What We’re Looking For

• Experience with Revit (school projects, internship, or professional experience)
• Basic AutoCAD knowledge
• Understanding of construction drawings and drafting principles
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Nice to Have

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Architecture, Construction Management, Drafting, or a related field
• Internship or coursework involving Revit and construction documentation
• Exposure to structural, architectural, or construction projects
• Interest in structural engineering and design

Location & Employment Type

• Fully onsite in Lansing, MI (work on location with structural engineers, architects, and designers)
• Contract to hire; full-time (employment begins as contractor with potential to convert)

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour (final offer depends on qualifications, experience, and internal equity)
