Structural Designer - Confidential Client Industrial & Water Engineering
The Structural Designer at Confidential Client is an entry-level role focused on developing BIM models and structural design documents for foundations and steel structures. Responsibilities
- Coordinate with other design-group team members to review and exchange project information needed for design and development.
- Gather required information and collaborate with structural engineers and multidisciplinary teams to develop BIM models for foundations and steel structures.
- Use Building Information Modeling (BIM) to produce plans, drawings, and construction details.
- Help develop and maintain department standards, templates, and modeling tools.
- Provide mentorship to junior designers on modeling and drafting techniques.
- Manage multiple project tasks concurrently and support timely delivery of design packages.
Qualifications
- Associate, vocational, or bachelor’s degree in Design & Drafting Technology, Engineering Technology, Architectural/Structural Design, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret multi-discipline engineering and vendor documents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate effectively across teams and disciplines.
- Experience with BIM software (Autodesk Revit) is required.
- Basic proficiency with current computer operating systems and standard office software.
- Reliable attendance, ability to meet deadlines, and willingness to work occasional overtime or weekends as project needs require.
Skills & Tools
- Required: Autodesk Revit / BIM modeling for structural systems (foundations, steel).
- Comfortable working with engineering deliverables and converting technical input into construction-ready drawings.
- Familiarity with spreadsheets, databases, and common word-processing tools.
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
