What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Structural Design Engineer to support design and analysis of concrete liquid storage tanks and related water infrastructure projects. In this role you will:

  • Design and analyze environmental concrete tank structures using industry best practices
  • Conduct structural calculations, finite element (FEA) modeling, and load analysis to optimize performance and durability
  • Use SAP2000/SAFE, AutoCAD and other structural modeling tools to develop and validate designs
  • Collaborate with construction teams and project managers to ensure design integrity from concept through construction
  • Troubleshoot field and design issues and support constructability solutions
  • Keep current with industry standards (ACI, ACI 350 exposure preferred) and integrate new technologies into design workflows

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis
  • 0–2 years of structural engineering experience (entry-level)
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
  • Understanding of steel and concrete behavior and application of engineering principles to real-world design challenges
  • Proficiency with SAP2000/SAFE, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and structural modeling/FEA tools
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills

Preferred

  • Internship or co-op experience in structural engineering
  • Exposure to industrial, water, wastewater, or heavy civil infrastructure projects
  • Experience with Revit or BIM workflows
  • Familiarity with ACI 350 design provisions
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or active pursuit of licensure
