What You’ll Do

This entry-level Structural Bridge Engineer (EIT) role supports bridge and transportation-structure projects based in Loehmanns Plaza, NY. You will work with senior engineers and a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, durable, and cost-effective designs.

• Contribute to preparation of drawings, reports, structural calculations, and models for bridges and transportation infrastructure
• Support project quantity takeoffs and cost estimating
• Assist with fieldwork and site inspections as required
• Interpret drawings, codes, and project documents for design tasks
• Support bridge load rating assessments and basic structural evaluations
• Use structural analysis and design software for modeling and calculations
• Perform engineering duties on projects of varying complexity under senior engineer guidance

Qualifications

• Engineer in Training (EIT) designation preferred — or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or related field
• 0–1+ years’ relevant experience; co-op/internship experience is a plus
• Familiarity with OpenBridge Modeler, MicroStation, and/or AutoCAD preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and ability to coordinate with team members
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to create and interpret sketches and drawings; working knowledge of codes and design requirements preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated pay: $104,813 per year (estimated; actual compensation will be based on education, experience, and work location). This posting complies with applicable pay-transparency requirements.
• Benefits for regular employees (20+ hrs/week) may include medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA options, 401(k), employee stock purchase, life/AD&D, disability coverage, tuition reimbursement, professional membership support, paid holidays, vacation accrual, and paid sick leave (subject to eligibility and state/local law). Part-time roles may be pro-rated.

Work Environment

Typical office environment involving computer work and extended periods of sitting. Field work will involve exposure to outdoor conditions, including inclement weather, when project needs require site visits.
