What You’ll Do

This full-time role supports watershed and stream restoration projects under the supervision of a Professional Engineer. Primary responsibilities include:

• Conduct field surveys and stream/riparian assessments; collect and analyze hydrologic, geomorphic, and natural-resource data.
• Perform hydrologic, hydraulic, geomorphic, and geospatial analyses to support project planning and design.
• Prepare stream and watershed maps, technical exhibits, and design drawings using CAD and GIS.
• Assist with restoration design, construction plans, floodplain and hydraulic modeling, permitting, and technical documentation.
• Participate in construction observation, project coordination, report writing, and community outreach.

This position requires regular outdoor fieldwork in and around streams and construction sites (variable weather and terrain) and occasional out-of-town travel.

Qualifications

Minimum required:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, agricultural, biological, environmental, or closely related engineering discipline (water-resources emphasis preferred).
• 0–3 years of relevant experience; recent graduates and early-career professionals are encouraged to apply.
• Strong interest in water resources and stream restoration; willingness to perform fieldwork.

Preferred / helpful credentials and skills:

• Engineer Intern (EI) licensure or passage of the FE exam preferred; recent graduates eligible and willing to pursue Arkansas EI licensure are encouraged to apply.
• Coursework or experience with AutoCAD / Civil 3D, Esri ArcGIS Pro, RiverMorph, hydraulic modeling, fluvial geomorphology, natural channel design, Rosgen classification, or natural-resource mapping.
• Comfortable working outdoors, collecting field data, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to technical detail.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $65,000–$80,000 annually (dependent on qualifications and experience).

• Location: Greenland, AR (on-site field and office work).
