What You’ll Do

You will join the office of the CEO as a Strategy & Operations Associate and report to the Chief of Staff. This is an early-career, hands-on role that combines operations, finance, and special projects. You’ll work across teams and with senior leaders to keep projects moving, support financial workflows, and translate analysis into clear recommendations and polished presentations.

  • Own accounts payable workflow: enter and code bills, route approvals, and maintain accurate vendor records.
  • Support annual budgeting, reforecasts, and monthly financial reviews by pulling data, building reports, and flagging variances.
  • Draft first versions of team decks, board materials, and committee presentations—turning rough ideas and data into persuasive slides.
  • Build Excel models and analyses (formulas, pivot tables, etc.) to answer business questions and inform decisions.
  • Partner with the Chief of Staff on problem-solving: research options, structure problems, and present recommended actions.
  • Plan and prepare materials for key meetings, capture notes and action items, and follow up on deliverables.
  • Track OKRs and prepare monthly and quarterly updates for leadership.
  • Lead or contribute to special projects across operations, HR administration, and partnerships as priorities evolve.
  • Document and improve processes to increase clarity and efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

  • 0–2 years of professional experience (including internships). Background in consulting, operations, finance, or startups is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Trusted partner who can handle confidential information with discretion.
  • A hardworking, flexible “utility player” attitude—no task is too big or small.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills: convert messy ideas into clean, persuasive narratives.
  • Strong Excel skills: comfortable with formulas, pivot tables, and organizing data for others.
  • Curious about finance and willing to learn accounting and financial operations basics.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity: asks the right questions, creates a plan, and executes.
  • Confident working with executives and senior leaders.
  • Clear written and oral communicator who welcomes feedback and iterates quickly.
  • Interest in healthcare required.
  • Familiarity with accounting/AP tools (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Bill.com) is a plus but not required.

Benefits & Perks

Our client invests in its people and offers competitive, comprehensive benefits, including:

  • Choice of medical, dental, and vision insurance plan options.
  • Opportunity to participate in a 403(b) and access FSA plans for medical, child care, and transit expenses.
  • Monthly cell phone stipend (non-taxed).
  • Unlimited paid time off.
  • Annual company-wide winter break between Christmas and New Year’s.
  • Opportunities to build a professional network across healthcare and entrepreneurship.
  • Dedicated learning time and regular workshops to grow your skills.
  • A small, dynamic team environment with real ownership and stretch opportunities.

Base salary for this position is budgeted between $55,000 and $60,000. The role is also eligible for the client’s Executive Incentive Plan.

Our Values

  • Never stop experimenting (try. assess. learn. iterate. repeat.)
  • Be the host (be warm, welcoming and gracious)
  • Turn over rocks (stay perpetually curious)
  • Make others successful (by helping others, you help yourself)
  • Speak your mind (be authentic and straightforward)
