Position Overview
The Strategy & Analysis Specialist will support the Industrial Business Development (Get Work) team at our confidential client by delivering data-driven market intelligence, strategic analysis, and regular performance reporting. This role transforms market and pipeline data into concise, executive-ready insights to inform pursuit prioritization, go-to-market planning, and long-range strategy.
Location: This role can be based in Lenexa, KS or Lone Tree, CO. Travel up to 25% across the U.S. and Canada may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market and competitive intelligence research across industrial construction sectors (e.g., data centers, energy, water, manufacturing, chemicals).
- Quantify market size, growth trends, customer investment patterns, and regional demand drivers.
- Monitor competitor activity, capabilities, and strategic moves; track owner/developer pipelines and capital projects.
- Synthesize findings into concise briefings, dashboards, and executive summaries for BD leadership.
- Support development of market entry, growth, and portfolio strategies; assist with target market definition and opportunity prioritization.
- Build strategic frameworks, scenario analyses, and business cases to support investment and pursuit decisions.
- Analyze business development pipeline, bid, and win-loss data to identify trends and performance drivers.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and KPIs to track BD performance and market exposure.
- Ensure data integrity across internal sources (CRM, market databases, internal reports) and work with data teams to integrate systems.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, visuals, and narratives for recurring business reviews, strategy offsites, and leadership updates.
- Create standardized reporting templates and improve reporting consistency and efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with estimating, operations, finance, marketing, and pursuit teams as an analytical thought partner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analysis, Engineering, Construction-related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience analyzing engineering, construction, or industrial markets.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills; ability to synthesize complex data into actionable recommendations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., SAP), SharePoint, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Proven initiative and strong interpersonal skills; ability to build productive relationships across functions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; experience producing executive-ready deliverables.
- Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.
- Regular, reliable attendance and ability to meet deadlines; ability to work occasional overtime/weekends when required.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Compensation: $89,740 — $94,227 per year (actual compensation will vary based on experience, location, and other factors).
