What You’ll Do

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will support end-to-end sourcing and category management for enterprise purchased services and other indirect procurement categories within a healthcare organization. This entry-level role focuses on data-driven sourcing, RFP execution, supplier contracting support, savings tracking, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Support sourcing projects from intake through supplier selection, contracting, implementation, and savings validation
  • Collect, cleanse, organize, and analyze spend, pricing, utilization, contract, supplier, and operational data using Excel and procurement tools
  • Assist with RFIs, RFPs, RFQs and related competitive sourcing events
  • Build bid comparison models, supplier scorecards, pricing analyses, savings projections, and stakeholder-ready summaries
  • Coordinate project timelines, meetings, action items, supplier communications, and approvals
  • Partner with clinical, operations, finance, legal, compliance, IT, HR, facilities, and business owners as needed
  • Prepare negotiation materials by researching suppliers/markets, documenting commercial terms, and modeling scenarios
  • Support contract workflow and administration: document collection, term summaries, renewal tracking, coordination with legal/business owners
  • Maintain sourcing project records, supplier documentation, and procurement system entries per policy and controls
  • Track and report cost savings, cost avoidance, project status, contract milestones, and supplier performance metrics
  • Support supplier relationship management activities, performance reviews, and issue tracking
  • Perform market research and benchmarking to inform sourcing recommendations and category strategies
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement templates, reporting, and stakeholder experience

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, supply chain, finance, healthcare administration, or related field
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; able to organize data, identify trends, and present findings clearly
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and ability to learn procurement/ERP tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to prepare concise business summaries and presentations
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Collaborative mindset and professional interaction with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Problem-solving curiosity and willingness to learn sourcing, contracting, negotiation, and category management
  • Ability to handle confidential and commercially sensitive information with good judgment

Preferred

  • Internship, co-op, project, or up to two years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, finance, consulting, analytics, or healthcare operations
  • Exposure to health system or hospital operations
  • Experience with data analysis, financial modeling, supplier research, competitive bidding, or project management
  • Familiarity with contracts, purchasing processes, supplier management, or indirect spend categories
