The Position
Confidential Client is seeking affirming educators to provide in-person, one-on-one STEM tutoring for high school students (grades 9–12) at our learning center in Quincy, MA. This is an entry-level, part-time tutoring opportunity with flexible scheduling and competitive hourly pay.
- Provide in-person 1:1 tutoring sessions to students in grades 9–12 at a learning center in Quincy, MA.
- Sessions typically last 60–90 minutes.
- Availability required: 3–12 hours per week; ability to work between 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM on weekdays.
- Deliver clear, patient instruction and adapt explanations to each student’s needs.
Requirements
- Earned Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong subject-matter expertise in the STEM topics you will tutor (math, science, engineering, etc.).
- Comfortable quickly learning and using new technology and apps.
- Teaching, mentoring, classroom, or prior tutoring experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work with a diverse range of students and learning styles.
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: $40–$45 per hour (based on education, experience, and availability).
- Typical schedule: part-time (3–12 hours/week), weekday afternoons and evenings during the school year; mornings and afternoons may be available in summer.
- Classification: Employee (W-2).
