What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking affirming educators to provide in-person, 1:1 STEM tutoring for high-school students (grades 9–12) at a learning center in Quincy, MA.
- Provide focused 1:1 tutoring sessions in STEM subjects (math, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science as applicable).
- Deliver 60–90 minute sessions tailored to each student’s learning goals and skill level.
- Use classroom techniques and educational technology/apps to support learning and track progress.
- Coordinate with scheduling staff — the platform handles booking and most administrative tasks so you can focus on teaching.
Schedule & Classification
- Part-time (3–12 hours per week typical).
- Must be available to work afternoons/evenings (roughly 2:00 PM–8:00 PM) on weekdays; some daytime availability in summer may be required.
- Classification: Employee (W-2).
Requirements
- Earned bachelor’s degree.
- Strong subject-matter expertise in the STEM subject(s) you will tutor and the ability to teach diverse learners.
- Comfortable learning and using new apps and educational technology.
- Teaching, classroom, mentoring, or prior tutoring experience is preferred but not required.
- Clear, professional communication and a student-focused approach.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay: $40+/hour (based on education, experience, and availability).
