The Staff Software Engineer at Confidential Client leads the architecture, development, and scaling of secure and resilient SaaS platform solutions for Studio customers. This role provides technical leadership, mentors engineers, and collaborates cross-functionally to deliver cloud-native, high-performance backend services primarily using AWS, C#, and Golang technologies.

About the Role
Confidential Client is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team focused on building scalable construction software (SaaS). This role is based in Dallas, TX and is ideal for an experienced engineering leader who enjoys solving hard technical problems, influencing architecture, and mentoring other engineers.
What You’ll Do
- Lead design and delivery of scalable backend systems and services
- Influence technical direction and architecture across projects
- Collaborate closely with product, QA, and design teams to ship customer-focused features
- Mentor and coach other engineers; drive best practices (code reviews, testing, CI/CD)
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system reliability and performance
- Advocate for maintainable, well-documented code and robust monitoring
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a senior/Staff-level software engineer building production SaaS products
- Strong software design and system architecture experience
- Experience guiding technical trade-offs and delivering end-to-end features
- Track record of mentoring peers and enabling engineering teams to deliver
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities
Nice-to-Have (Preferred)
- Experience working in construction technology or enterprise SaaS
- History with scalable cloud platforms and distributed systems
- Background in performance optimization and observability tooling
