What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a Staff Auditor to support internal audit, controls, Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) activities, and business process improvement. This role is ideal for a curious, detail‑oriented professional who wants hands‑on audit experience within a global manufacturing and finance environment.

• Perform audit procedures and tests of controls across financial and operational processes
• Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and document findings
• Analyze financial, operational, and system data to identify control gaps and process improvement opportunities
• Prepare clear, actionable workpapers and audit documentation
• Communicate audit results and recommendations to business leaders and process owners
• Contribute to risk‑based audits, advisory projects, due diligence activities, and data analytics initiatives
• Support SOX compliance activities and related testing as needed
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to help translate audit findings into practical remediation plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Data Science, or a related business field required
• 1+ year of relevant experience in accounting, finance, audit, internal controls, data analytics, or related roles preferred (internship/co‑op/project experience considered)
• Exposure to internal audit, Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance, public accounting, or manufacturing environments is a plus
• Progress toward or possession of professional credentials (CPA, CIA, CFE, CMA) preferred

Skills & Additional Qualifications

• Strong interest in internal audit, risk management, financial controls, and process improvement
• Foundational understanding of accounting principles, financial business processes, and control documentation
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working with financial, operational, and process data
• Experience with data analytics tools and techniques preferred
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to summarize complex issues clearly
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Collaborative, customer‑focused approach and ability to build relationships across functions and locations
• High degree of integrity, confidentiality, and professional accountability
• Self‑motivated learner who thrives in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
