What You’ll Do

As a Staff Accountant I you will support engagement teams across tax and accounting work, including:

  • Prepare individual income tax returns and supporting workpapers
  • Assist with trust and estate tax return preparation
  • Support partnership and corporate tax engagements
  • Prepare tax return extensions and related filings
  • Perform bookkeeping and accounting services for clients
  • Assist with financial statement preparation and trust accounting functions
  • Organize client tax information and engagement documentation
  • Research tax and accounting issues and learn firm methodologies
  • Prepare client correspondence and respond professionally to client requests
  • Support engagement teams during busy seasons and contribute to team projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1+ year of accounting, tax, or public accounting experience
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated interest in building a long-term career in public accounting
