- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field — or equivalent experience.
- Solid grasp of accounting fundamentals (debits/credits, accruals, reconciliations) and comfort with AR, AP, and bank reconciliations.
- Comfortable interacting directly with clients on billing and payment matters with a friendly, professional tone.
- Proactive, organized self-starter who asks good questions when items don’t tie out.
- Experience with cloud accounting software (QuickBooks Online preferred) and strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong time management, especially around month-end deadlines.
- Clear, friendly communication skills and the ability to explain financial items to non-finance teammates.
- Ownership mindset: resourceful, proactive, and willing to build processes where needed.
- Nice to have: experience with billing/AR automation tools, commissions reporting, expense platforms (Rippling or similar), or interest in CPA career path.
