What You’ll Do

This entry-level Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations with a focus on vendor management and sales/broker commission processing. You will help maintain accurate financial records, reconcile commission and vendor accounts, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, accurate payments.

  • Create and maintain accurate vendor master records in the accounting/ERP system.
  • Review vendor setup information for completeness: legal name, address, TIN, payment terms, and banking details.
  • Collect and maintain vendor documentation (W-9s and other required forms).
  • Identify and resolve duplicate or inaccurate vendor records.
  • Communicate with vendors to obtain missing documentation or resolve account discrepancies.
  • Process and maintain sales and broker commission payments per agreements and schedules.
  • Review and reconcile commission calculations to contracts, sales activity, and revenue records.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Account Management, Finance, and other departments to gather necessary data for commission processing.
  • Prepare commission payments for processing and maintain schedules of outstanding, accrued, and paid commissions.
  • Assist with month-end accruals and reconciliations related to commissions and vendor liabilities.
  • Monitor for duplicate payments, overpayments, or unusual activity and escalate as appropriate.
  • Maintain organized documentation to support commission and vendor payments and provide records for audits.

What We’re Looking For

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP fundamentals preferred).
  • Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel (including formulas and reconciliation workflows).
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Good communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Compensation & Location

  • Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
  • Pay Rate: Up to $23.00 per hour
  • Location: On-site in Georgia (the position is based in the state of Georgia, US)
