What You’ll Do
As a Staff Accountant (Entry Level) supporting the West region, you will contribute to month-end, quarterly, and annual close activities and help maintain accurate financial records and internal controls for our confidential client.
- Execute month-end closings and prepare/post general ledger journal entries within the established close schedule
- Perform general ledger account analysis and prepare monthly reconciliations
- Assist in preparation of financial reports and variance analysis
- Support SOX/compliance controls and respond to audit documentation requests
- Review monthly/quarterly inventory count packets for completeness and proper signatures
- Maintain organized accounting records consistent with records-retention policies
- Manage PCARD reviews and coding for accuracy and policy compliance
- Process purchase orders for regional co-packers and reconcile inventory movements
- Review lease invoice coding to ensure proper expense recognition
- Identify process deficiencies and propose improvements to increase efficiency
- Collaborate with other accounting and operational teams on analysis and special projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills across levels
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- Commitment to safe work practices
- Willingness to travel to production sites or other offices when required (up to 10%)
- Successful completion of a drug screen and background check is required
Location & Work Model

Hybrid position based out of Irving, TX (confidential client). Candidates must be able to work on-site as required and travel occasionally to regional sites.

Estimated pay: $99,769 per year (estimated)
