Why this role matters

Confidential Client is hiring a full-time, onsite Staff Accountant — Business Support Specialist in Centennial, CO. This role supports accurate financial reporting, month-end close activities, and operational accounting tasks that keep the finance function running smoothly. What You’ll Do

• Perform daily bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
• Prepare journal entries and maintain organized supporting documentation for audits and internal reviews
• Support month-end close activities and general ledger reconciliations
• Prepare and maintain annual reports, business licenses, and sales & use tax documentation
• Record accounts payable transactions and facilitate rent and vendor payments
• Manage certificates of insurance and coordinate with property managers and landlords as needed
• Help maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives to scale accounting operations

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent related experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet reporting deadlines
• Solid organizational and written/verbal communication skills
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners
• Understanding of accounting standards and maintaining accurate financial records

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of accounting experience
• Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration (preferred)
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Stampli, or similar financial systems
• Familiarity with process improvement work and scaling accounting processes

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year (base) plus bonus potential
