What You’ll Do

This is a 12–18 month property-accounting development program designed to provide hands-on experience across multiple accounting functions. You will rotate through accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger/financial reporting assignments to build a broad foundation before specializing.

• Gain hands-on experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger/financial reporting within property accounting.
• Accept shifting assignments across functional areas as part of the structured development program.
• Support day-to-day accounting tasks with strong attention to detail and timely follow-up.
• Collaborate with property accounting and operations teams to resolve issues and identify process improvements.
• Use Excel and Microsoft Office to prepare reports, analyze data, and support month-end activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (any field). A degree in Accounting is preferred but not mandatory.
• 0–1 year of accounting experience (internship or entry-level). Commercial real estate exposure or Yardi experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of, or demonstrated aptitude for, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proficient with Excel and comfortable working with evolving responsibilities and some ambiguity.
• Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Compensation & Schedule

• Contract — Full time
• Base pay: $70,000 — $75,000 per year (as posted)
• This role is a 12–18 month development assignment with potential placement as a Property Accountant or transition into Fund Accounting upon successful completion.
