Role overview
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Scientist to join the Stability and Batch Release team. This role performs stability and batch-release testing in a CGMP/GLP laboratory environment, supports study documentation and reporting, and works with analytical instrumentation (HPLC/GC) and laboratory information systems.
What You’ll Do
- Perform stability and batch release testing under established CGMP/GLP procedures.
- Run and maintain analytical instrumentation such as HPLC and GC.
- Record, review and report experimental data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Follow and contribute to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and study protocols.
- Use LIMS or other lab systems to log samples, results and maintain traceability.
- Assist with method set-up, sample prep, routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Communicate results and progress to supervisors and cross-functional teams.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or closely related field (or equivalent coursework).
- Familiarity with laboratory work and basic analytical techniques.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective written/verbal communication.
Preferred / nice-to-have
- Hands-on experience with HPLC and/or GC.
- Experience working under GLP and/or GMP.
- Experience with a LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
- Previous stability testing, batch release, or QC lab experience.
Schedule & location
- Full-time: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; some weekends/overtime as needed.
- Candidates should be within commutable distance to Columbia, MO.
Compensation & benefits
- Estimated pay: $51,429 per year (estimated).
