Role overview
We are assisting a Confidential Client in hiring a Senior Front-End Software Engineer to build and lead the development of customer-facing web applications. This role is focused on designing performant, accessible, and maintainable user interfaces, partnering closely with product and backend teams, and mentoring other engineers to improve frontend development practices.
What you’ll do
- Design, build, and maintain responsive web applications and UI components using modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Translate product requirements and UX designs into high-quality, maintainable code.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define technical approaches and deliver features.
- Improve performance, accessibility, and cross-browser support across web applications.
- Drive front-end best practices: code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD for frontend builds, and component-driven architecture.
- Mentor and review the work of mid- and junior-level engineers; contribute to hiring and technical onboarding.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience as a front-end engineer (senior-level), building production web applications.
- Strong JavaScript skills and experience with modern frameworks/libraries (component-based approaches).
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and browser rendering performance.
- Experience with testing frameworks and front-end build tooling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor other engineers.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Experience with component libraries and design systems.
- Familiarity with front-end performance optimization, accessibility standards (WCAG), and progressive web apps.
- Prior experience guiding architecture decisions for UI at scale.
