Role summary

Confidential Client is hiring a Special Inspector to perform on-site inspections that verify the structural integrity and code compliance of concrete, steel, masonry, and related construction work in New York, NY. This is a full-time, permanent field role suited to entry-level candidates and experienced inspectors who hold relevant certifications.

What You’ll Do

• Perform special inspections onsite (masonry, concrete, rebar, mechanical, bolting and welding).
• Inspect and verify work per project plans, specifications, and applicable city, national, and international codes.
• Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and clients to resolve inspection issues promptly.
• Prepare clear, timely inspection reports and document non-conformance items.
• Maintain accurate field records, photos, and test logs.

Qualifications

• Any special inspector certification from ICC, CWI, NICET, or ACI.
• OSHA 10 required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred but not required.
• Open to entry-level candidates or experienced inspectors with field inspection experience.
• Strong attention to detail, clear written communication, and the ability to work independently on project sites in New York, NY.

Pay & Benefits

• PAY RANGE: $26.00 – $55.00 per hour.
