Special Education Teacher

What You’ll Do
Confidential Client seeks a Special Education Teacher to deliver personalized instruction and support for high-school students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). You will:
- Provide one-on-one and small-group instruction in a personalized learning environment
- Develop, implement and monitor student academic plans and IEP goals
- Collaborate with students, parents and multidisciplinary staff to evaluate progress
- Maintain accurate records, create reports and document IEP compliance
- Use Microsoft Office and educational software to plan lessons and track data
- Participate in meetings, professional development and required trainings
- Travel as needed to fulfill job responsibilities
Who We’re Looking For
You should bring both the credentialing and the classroom skills to support exceptional learners:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate with an endorsement in Special Education
- English Language and Autism authorizations
- Prior experience working with exceptional learners strongly recommended
- Eligibility to obtain a teaching permit or teaching internship (if applicable)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and common educational software
- Strong organizational, communication and documentation skills

- Starting salary: $51,500 per year (competitive)

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree
