Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Software Tester / Field Tester to join their QA team in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. This is a full-time, hourly position focused on mobile and network quality assurance, field testing, and reporting defects. Candidates with 0–3 years of software testing experience are encouraged to apply. A bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related) is preferred but may be substituted by relevant experience.

Primary Responsibilities

• Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies
• Analyze test results and submit clear reports to the development team
• Create test designs, cases, processes, and product documentation
• Conduct lab-based and on-site field testing per standards and procedures
• Ensure testing is carried out per defined QA standards
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (development, operations, support)
• Participate in testing during all phases of the design → develop → test → release → maintain lifecycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• 0–3 years of hands-on software testing experience
• Network QA testing experience is a plus
• Familiarity with mobile technologies, mobile operating systems, and testing tools is a plus
