What You’ll Do

This role supports the design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and integration of software used for production and validation of advanced sensor products in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance software for sensor production and automated test systems.
  • Design, implement, and validate software for manufacturing and automated testing workflows.
  • Integrate software with laboratory and production test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, power supplies, environmental chambers).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues affecting test equipment and production systems.
  • Create and maintain software documentation, test procedures, and test cases.
  • Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and testing activities to ensure maintainability and quality.
  • Support validation, verification, and root-cause analysis of test results; recommend corrective actions.
  • Work within Agile processes; contribute to planning, status updates, and continuous improvement.
  • Apply software development best practices for test automation and system integration in a regulated aerospace setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or another STEM field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on software engineering experience (professional, internship, co-op, or equivalent projects).
  • Experience programming in one or more of: C#, VB.NET, Python, or similar object‑oriented languages.
  • Basic knowledge of software design, testing methodologies, debugging, and version control.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues that span software and hardware.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with LabVIEW or other test automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems and software-controlled test equipment.
  • Background in manufacturing, test engineering, aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries.
  • Electronics fundamentals (analog and digital circuits).
  • Experience writing test plans, procedures, and test cases.
  • Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira and source control like Git or Azure DevOps.
  • Exposure to communication protocols (RS-232, RS-485, CAN, ARINC, MIL‑STD‑1553) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, hands-on troubleshooting, and willingness to learn.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay range: $38.00 - $46.00 per hour (hourly range provided by the client). Actual pay offered will depend on experience, skills, and other job-related factors.
  • Contract-to-hire opportunity with potential conversion to direct employment by the client.
