What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring early-career Software Systems Engineers to support mission-focused development of software-intensive systems. You will contribute to system and software architecture, requirements definition and verification planning, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) efforts to support program delivery.
- Help create and update system- and software-relevant architecture artifacts that align to cost, schedule, and risk constraints
- Define and analyze requirements, support requirements allocation and traceability, and document planned verification methods
- Assist with MBSE tools and methods and integrate digital engineering tools per the program plan/SEMP
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure system designs meet mission needs
- Participate in design reviews, verification activities, and continuous engineering improvement
Basic Qualifications
Note: this requisition may be filled at one of two levels: Associate Software Systems Engineer (T01) or Software Systems Engineer (T02). Candidates must meet the criteria for the specific level applied to.
Associate Software Systems Engineer (T01) — Minimum
- Completing or completed a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Major in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Development, or a closely related field
- Able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
Software Systems Engineer (T02) — Minimum
- Completing or completed a master’s degree from an accredited institution
- Major in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Development, or a closely related field
- Able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher
- Previous internship, co-op, or relevant work experience
- Demonstrated teamwork, leadership, and strong interpersonal communication
- Exposure to MBSE tools, systems engineering practices, or software architecture
Compensation
- Associate Software Engineer (T01): 72,700 - 109,100 USD per year
- Software Engineer (T02): 87,600 - 131,400 USD per year
Salaries are provided as ranges and may vary depending on role level, experience, and qualifications.
