Role Overview
Confidential Client is hiring for entry-level to early-career engineering roles that may be filled as either an Associate Software Systems Engineer (T01) or a Software Systems Engineer (T02). The position is based at Redstone Arsenal, AL, and supports mission-critical defense systems. You will contribute to system and software architecture artifacts, requirements analysis and allocation, model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities, and verification planning.
What You’ll Do
- Help create and update system- and software-related architecture artifacts that align with program constraints (cost, schedule, risk).
- Define and analyze requirements, support allocation and traceability, and document planned verification methods.
- Assist with MBSE tools, model integration, and digital engineering workflows per the program SEMP and plan.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (systems engineering, software, test, integration) to ensure cohesive design and verification.
- Participate in design reviews, requirements reviews, and technical interchange meetings.
Basic Qualifications — Associate Software Systems Engineer (T01)
A candidate must meet ALL of the following:
- Completing or has completed a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Major in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Development.
- U.S. citizenship required and ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
Basic Qualifications — Software Systems Engineer (T02)
A candidate must meet ALL of the following:
- Completing or has completed a master’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Major in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Development.
- U.S. citizenship required and ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher.
- Previous internship, co-op, or relevant work experience.
- Familiarity with MBSE tools/methods, model integration, or digital engineering practices.
- Demonstrated teamwork, leadership, and strong interpersonal/communication skills.
- Experience with requirements management, verification planning, or systems architecture is a plus.
Location & Clearance
- Work location: Redstone Arsenal, AL (on-site).
- U.S. citizenship is required for any role that requires a government security clearance. The role may require eligibility for a Secret clearance.

Compensation & Employment Type
- Employment type: FULL_TIME.
- Salary ranges (provided by source):
- Associate Software Engineer (T01): $72,700 - $109,100 per year
- Software Engineer (T02): $87,600 - $131,400 per year
