What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a Graduate AI Engineer Intern to help design, build, and operationalize AI-enabled enterprise systems. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver practical AI solutions that address real business problems and improve how work gets done.
- Train, tune, and deploy machine learning models
- Build predictive and classification models for business use cases
- Design and implement Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
- Design and develop AI-powered business applications and enterprise copilots
- Build APIs and microservices that expose AI capabilities
- Contribute to back-end system design and integration
- Develop reusable AI components and SDKs to accelerate enterprise adoption
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with programming languages and frameworks such as C, C++, C#, Python, Java, JavaScript, Vue, AngularJS, or PHP
- Strong computer science and software engineering fundamentals: data structures & algorithms, multithreading, OOP, and design patterns
- Experience with AI projects, large language models (LLMs), or AI agents is preferred
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled graduate student (master’s) or PhD candidate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
Compensation & Total Rewards
- Base pay range for this internship (Ann Arbor, MI): $24.00 - $40.00 per hour
- Interns may be eligible for some benefits including access to learning and development programs, wellness resources, and limited employee benefit offerings consistent with internship status
- Actual pay depends on factors such as location, role level, skills, experience, and education
