What You’ll Do

This Confidential Client is hiring a full-time Software Engineering Instructor to deliver hands-on instruction, mentoring, and practical development exercises to learners on-site in Town of Monroe, NY.

• Provide hands-on programming instruction, tutoring, and technical mentorship to students and learners.
• Teach and support learners across multiple languages and frameworks (Ruby/Rails, Python/Django, JavaScript, HTML/CSS).
• Design practical exercises, labs, and real-world examples focused on modern software development.
• Troubleshoot student code, teach debugging best practices, and lead regression/testing exercises.
• Introduce learners to cloud development—particularly AWS—and support cloud-based labs and deployments.
• Explain and demonstrate modern AI capabilities and integrations (AI frameworks, APIs, plugins).
• Adapt lessons to different experience levels and learning styles; provide clear demonstrations and feedback.
• Stay current with emerging languages, frameworks, AI tools, and industry best practices.

What We’re Looking For (Requirements)

• Strong programming background with demonstrated versatility across common languages:
  • Ruby / Ruby on Rails
  • Python / Django
  • JavaScript
  • HTML / CSS
• Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-based development environments.
• Familiarity with AI frameworks, APIs, plugins, or integrations.
• Solid understanding of debugging, software testing, and regression testing practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to varied audiences.
• Strong problem-solving ability and a passion for teaching and mentoring.
• Ability to work onsite in Town of Monroe, NY, 5 days per week.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a programming instructor, trainer, teaching assistant, mentor, or technical lead.
• Experience designing curricula, coding exercises, or technical training materials.
• Experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into applications or coursework.
• Familiarity with Git, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range: $65,000–$80,000 per year (Confidential Client, staffing-sector posting).
• Benefits (where applicable for the employed role) may include medical, vision, dental, life/disability insurance, and retirement plan options depending on employment type.

Location & Schedule

• Worksite: Onsite at the Confidential Client location in Town of Monroe, NY.
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (onsite, 5 days per week).
