What You’ll Do
This Confidential Client is hiring a full-time Software Engineering Instructor to deliver hands-on instruction, mentoring, and practical development exercises to learners on-site in Town of Monroe, NY.
- Provide hands-on programming instruction, tutoring, and technical mentorship to students and learners.
- Teach and support learners across multiple languages and frameworks (Ruby/Rails, Python/Django, JavaScript, HTML/CSS).
- Design practical exercises, labs, and real-world examples focused on modern software development.
- Troubleshoot student code, teach debugging best practices, and lead regression/testing exercises.
- Introduce learners to cloud development—particularly AWS—and support cloud-based labs and deployments.
- Explain and demonstrate modern AI capabilities and integrations (AI frameworks, APIs, plugins).
- Adapt lessons to different experience levels and learning styles; provide clear demonstrations and feedback.
- Stay current with emerging languages, frameworks, AI tools, and industry best practices.
What We’re Looking For (Requirements)
- Strong programming background with demonstrated versatility across common languages:
- Ruby / Ruby on Rails
- Python / Django
- JavaScript
- HTML / CSS
- Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-based development environments.
- Familiarity with AI frameworks, APIs, plugins, or integrations.
- Solid understanding of debugging, software testing, and regression testing practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to varied audiences.
- Strong problem-solving ability and a passion for teaching and mentoring.
- Ability to work onsite in Town of Monroe, NY, 5 days per week.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a programming instructor, trainer, teaching assistant, mentor, or technical lead.
- Experience designing curricula, coding exercises, or technical training materials.
- Experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into applications or coursework.
- Familiarity with Git, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $65,000–$80,000 per year (Confidential Client, staffing-sector posting).

Location & Schedule
- Worksite: Onsite at the Confidential Client location in Town of Monroe, NY.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (onsite, 5 days per week).
