What You’ll Do

Join a Confidential Client’s Government & Public Services IT practice as an entry-level Software Engineering Analyst. In this hands-on role you will help design, build, and maintain scalable, secure software solutions that support public-sector transformation efforts. You’ll work with cross-functional teams (product, UX, security, cloud, and operations) to deliver client-facing applications and automation that improve mission outcomes.

• Contribute to full-stack application development: design, code, test, and deploy features.
• Participate in code reviews, unit/integration testing, and CI/CD automation.
• Implement secure, performant solutions using cloud-native patterns and modern frameworks.
• Help document design decisions, runbooks, and deployment procedures.
• Collaborate with consultants and client stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to reliability and performance improvements.
• Continuously learn and apply software engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (completed) or currently enrolled in an accredited college/university with expected graduation by Summer 2027 in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related program.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong fundamentals in at least one programming language and familiarity with software engineering principles.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to travel up to ~50% on average, depending on client needs.
• Must reside within a commutable distance (for example, ~100 miles) of the assigned office and be able to commute daily if required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
• Minimum age: 18 years at time of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher.
• Internship, project, or coursework experience in software engineering, cloud, automation, or systems design.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), RESTful APIs, containers, or infrastructure-as-code.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools, automated testing frameworks, and code-review workflows.

Team & Environment

You will be part of a multidisciplinary Government & Public Services IT team serving federal/state agencies, higher education, and nonprofit clients. The team balances technical delivery with client-facing consulting, offering opportunities to specialize in cloud engineering, application development, or platform automation while learning consulting skills and client engagement.

Compensation & Employment Type

• Employment type: FULL_TIME.
• Estimated pay range: $95,000 to $98,000 per year (range reflects role-level factors such as skills, experience, and location differentials). This posting complies with applicable compensation disclosure guidelines.

Location, Travel & Clearance

• Primary work location: Rosslyn, VA (22209). Candidates must be within a commutable distance of the office.
• Travel: Up to 50% on average, depending on assignments.
• Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance is required.
