What You’ll Do

You will join a Confidential Client’s Government & Public Services IT team as an entry-level Software Engineering Analyst and contribute to software design, development, testing, and maintenance for public sector customers. Typical responsibilities include:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure software solutions that meet client requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (product, UX, security, cloud, QA) to deliver high-quality applications.
• Write, review, and refactor code; participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
• Contribute to automation (CI/CD), unit and integration testing, and performance tuning.
• Integrate cloud services and follow secure development lifecycle practices.
• Troubleshoot defects, analyze logs, and implement fixes to improve reliability and performance.
• Document technical work and provide clear guidance to teammates when needed.
• Continuously learn new technologies and contribute to process improvements.

Who You Are / Qualifications (Required)

This role is intended for early-career candidates (entry-level). Required qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university expected to graduate by Summer 2027, or have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related program.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
• Must reside within a commutable distance (approximately a 100-mile radius) of the assigned office and be able to commute daily if required.
• Willingness and ability to travel (up to ~50% on average, depending on client needs).
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher.
• Internship, project, or coursework experience in software engineering, computer engineering/science, or development projects.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization, and CI/CD tooling.
• Practical experience with modern programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Understanding of software security best practices and secure development lifecycle.

Compensation & Recruiter Notes

• The client provides a reasonable estimated salary range for this role: $95,000 to $98,000 per year. Final compensation will depend on experience, skills, location, and other business factors.
• This is an entry-level opportunity primarily focused on candidates beginning or building a career in software engineering within the public sector IT space.

Location & Work Conditions

• Office location: Fort Myer, VA (Arlington). Candidates must be able to commute within the stated radius unless otherwise arranged.
• Travel: Up to ~50% on average may be required depending on client engagements.
