What You’ll Do

As a Software Engineering Analyst supporting our Confidential Client’s Government & Public Services engagements, you will:

• Design, build, test, and maintain scalable, secure software that supports public-sector transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineers, product, UX, and client stakeholders) to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes to improve reliability and delivery velocity.
• Integrate cloud-based technologies and services to support modern architectures and deployments.
• Troubleshoot performance and reliability issues and implement fixes and improvements.
• Document technical designs, implementation details, and user-facing behavior; present results to team members and stakeholders.
• Support client interactions and help translate technical tradeoffs into business outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing skills development and adopt engineering best practices.

Qualifications

Required

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Summer 2027, or have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related program.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong fundamentals in software development (coding, debugging, testing).
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and modern development practices (CI/CD, automated testing).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong interpersonal and professional demeanor.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to travel up to 50% on average, depending on client and project needs.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment.
• You must reside within a commutable distance (for example, a ~100-mile radius) of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily if required.

Preferred

• Cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher.
• Internship, project, or coursework experience in software engineering, cloud development, or related engineering projects.

This is an entry-level opportunity intended for candidates starting or building a career in software engineering within a consulting context.

Compensation & Additional Details

• Estimated base salary range: $95,000 — $98,000 per year. This range reflects current estimates and may vary by location, experience, and other job-related factors. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for any geographic differential.
• Position Type: Full-time (entry-level Analyst).
• Typical travel: up to 50% (client- and project-dependent).
• Work location: Illinois Medical District / Chicago area — candidates must be able to commute or relocate to be within commutable distance of the assigned office.
• Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance is required.
• Employment eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship at any time during employment.
