What You’ll Do

This entry-level Software Engineering Analyst role supports a confidential client’s Government & Public Services work in designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable software solutions. You will join multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality applications and integrate cloud and modern development practices to solve public sector challenges.

• Design, implement, test, and maintain software components and services that meet client needs and security requirements
• Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design documentation
• Work with cloud platforms and tooling to deploy and scale solutions (CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure-as-code)
• Collaborate with product, UX, operations, and subject-matter experts to deliver user-centric features
• Apply software engineering best practices (version control, automated testing, code quality, observability)
• Support automation, performance tuning, and reliability improvements across applications
• Communicate status, risks, and technical trade-offs clearly to team members and stakeholders

The Team

You will be aligned with a Government & Public Services practice that serves federal, state, and local agencies, higher education, and nonprofit organizations. Teams tackle strategy, operations, and technology transformations to improve mission outcomes and citizen services. Expect hands-on learning, mentorship, and exposure across public sector client environments.

Qualifications

Required

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university (expected to graduate by Summer 2027) OR completed a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related program
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Ability to reside within a commutable distance (example: 100-mile radius) of the assigned office and commute daily if required
• Ability to travel up to 50% on average, depending on client needs
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred

• Cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher
• Internship, project, or coursework experience in software engineering, computer engineering, or computer science
• Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD, automated testing, and code review workflows

This is an entry-level opportunity intended for candidates starting or building a career in software engineering in the public sector.

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated salary range: $95,000 to $98,000 per year. Final offer depends on experience, skills, and other factors.
• Competitive benefits typically offered by large IT employers (healthcare, retirement, paid time off, professional development). Specific benefit details will be provided by the confidential client during onboarding.

Location, Travel & Security Requirements

• Primary work location: Boston, MA (postal code 02133). Candidates must be able to commute to the assigned office when required.
• Travel: up to ~50% on average depending on client engagements.
• Clearance: ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance is required.
• Work authorization: must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
