What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and test algorithms for signal processing, conditioning, and statistical modeling.
- Develop and validate machine‑learning methods for signal classification and related tasks.
- Translate customer requirements into algorithm designs and prototypes; evaluate performance against requirements.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and improve algorithm and software performance.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate algorithms into larger systems and UI visualizations for big‑data outputs.
- Own project workstreams and manage tasks autonomously to meet delivery milestones.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in algorithm development for signal processing or machine learning.
- Strong object‑oriented programming experience — C++ and/or C# preferred (other modern languages acceptable).
- Familiarity with machine learning toolkits and platforms.
- Experience or interest in UI design/development for large‑scale data visualization is a plus.
- Self‑starter who can manage projects and communicate technical tradeoffs to stakeholders.
Required Technical Skills
- Signal processing and statistical modeling techniques.
- Algorithm design, implementation, and unit/integration testing.
- C++, C#, or similar object‑oriented languages.
- Practical experience with ML toolkits (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn, etc.) or equivalent platforms.
- Performance optimization and debugging of algorithmic code.
- Basic familiarity with frontend/data visualization technologies (for algorithm result presentation) is beneficial.
Compensation & Location
- Rate: $70–$80 per hour (contracting/consulting arrangement).
- Location: Redmond, WA — Partial remote work is possible; on‑site collaboration will be required as needed.
- Employment type: Full‑time (as defined by the client for this role).
