Position Overview
Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer with strong mobile experience to build and maintain cross-platform applications. This role focuses on React Native, TypeScript/JavaScript, and GraphQL to deliver high-quality mobile experiences for Android and iOS. The position is based in Washington, Washington, D.C.; candidates should reside within the Washington, D.C. metro area (or be willing to relocate).
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain scalable cross-platform mobile applications using React Native, TypeScript, and JavaScript for Android and iOS.
- Build reusable UI components and shared business modules to accelerate feature delivery.
- Integrate with REST and SOAP APIs and implement GraphQL queries and mutations (Apollo/Relay client patterns).
- Instrument applications with telemetry and monitoring (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Dynatrace) and optimize performance.
- Deploy, monitor, and scale solutions on cloud platforms such as Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform.
- Participate in DevOps efforts, including CI/CD pipeline configuration, version control, and release automation.
- Apply applicable security and compliance controls (e.g., HIPAA, PCI, CMS) to protect sensitive data.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience with React Native, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- 1–2 years of experience designing and implementing GraphQL queries and mutations (Apollo or Relay).
- 1–2 years integrating with REST and/or SOAP APIs.
- 1–2 years working with cloud platforms (Azure or GCP) for hosting, monitoring, and scaling applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks for mobile (unit, integration, and UI tests).
- Working knowledge of DevOps/CI-CD pipelines and version control workflows (e.g., Git).
- Experience applying security and compliance standards for healthcare or regulated data environments (HIPAA, PCI, CMS).
- Experience with mobile performance monitoring and analytics tools.
Compensation & Hours
- Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
- Pay Range (good-faith estimate): $80,900 - $110,300 per year. Individual pay will vary based on location, experience, skills, education, and certifications. This role may be eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
