Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Software Engineer (Associate) to join an AI-focused engineering team building production-grade software and services that support machine learning products. You’ll collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and engineers to design, implement, test, and deploy reliable systems that power AI features at scale.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs that support ML workflows and product features.
• Collaborate with ML engineers and data teams to integrate models into production systems.
• Write clean, maintainable code and unit/integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews and drive improvements in system reliability, security, and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including incident response and postmortems.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and help prioritize work for high-impact delivery.

What We’re Looking For

• 1+ years of professional software development experience (Associate-level) or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in AI products (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Practical experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and working with service-oriented architectures.
• Familiarity with source control (Git), testing practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Team player who can work collaboratively with cross-functional partners (data science, product, SRE).

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to ML productionization (model serving, feature stores, monitoring).
• Experience with observability tools and practices (logging, tracing, metrics).
• Knowledge of data stores (SQL and NoSQL) and distributed systems fundamentals.
