Position overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Software Engineer to join their technology team. This role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions that support business goals and product delivery across the organization. You will work with cross-functional teams to ship high-quality, maintainable code and continuously improve the development lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software solutions
• Collaborate closely with product managers, QA, and other engineers to deliver features on schedule
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software defects and performance issues
• Write and maintain automated tests and documentation to support long-term maintainability
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, CI/CD, and deployment practices

Qualifications (Minimum)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field — or equivalent practical experience
• Demonstrated experience in professional software development (typical postings expect 1–5+ years depending on level)
• Strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, testing, and design)
• Experience working in a collaborative, team-based environment and familiarity with Agile practices
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly

Preferred qualifications

• Experience contributing to production systems with a focus on reliability and maintainability
• Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and version control workflows
• Previous experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small project efforts
• Exposure to cloud platforms, microservices, or distributed systems is a plus
