What You’ll Do

You will be a front-end engineering leader helping modernize enterprise internal claims applications. Working with product owners, technical leads, backend engineers, and business analysts, you will design, build, and maintain browser-based Single Page Applications (SPAs) that are secure, scalable, and maintainable.

• Design and build reusable, accessible UI components and client-side architecture using Vue.js 3+ and TypeScript.
• Implement and consume RESTful APIs and collaborate with backend teams on integration details.
• Drive UI modernization efforts: migrate legacy screens, define component libraries, and enforce front-end best practices.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization flows (OAuth/OpenID Connect).
• Use state management (e.g., Pinia) and CSS tooling (e.g., Tailwind CSS) to deliver performant UIs.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure quality and reliability.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers; help shape coding standards and code reviews.
• Partner across teams to troubleshoot production issues, reduce downtime, and improve performance.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate has strong front-end development experience, a practical understanding of enterprise application needs, and a desire to lead UI modernization.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (or equivalent work experience as defined by employer).
• 3+ years systems and programming experience; experience modernizing legacy applications strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Vue.js 3+, TypeScript, and building SPAs.
• Experience with REST API integration and secure auth patterns (OAuth/OpenID Connect).
• Familiarity with component libraries (PrimeVue or similar), Tailwind CSS, and state management (Pinia or comparable).
• Strong debugging, testing, and automated test experience for front-end code.
• Excellent communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Leadership experience or ability to provide technical mentorship.
• Organized, reliable, and capable of managing multiple tasks in an Agile environment.

Preferred (not required):

• Prior experience in large enterprise or insurance-related applications.
• Experience designing component libraries for reuse across teams.
