What You’ll Do

Confidential client is seeking a Software Engineer (TS/SCI) to support mission‑critical systems using DevSecOps practices. You will work across the full software development lifecycle in an Agile environment to design, build, test, and operate resilient cloud-native services and customer tools.

• Deliver production-ready code and automation using Java and Python
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release automation (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Containerize applications and operate container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Build, deploy, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and services (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Apply DevSecOps and security best practices across the SDLC
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Create and maintain infrastructure-as-code and automation (Terraform, Ansible)
• Participate in design reviews, write unit/integration tests, and support operational troubleshooting

Minimum Qualifications

• Software development experience with Java and Python
• Experience with DevSecOps principles and secure software development
• Familiarity with application containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Hands-on with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps)
• Experience working in Agile teams (Scrum, Kanban)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Active TS/SCI security clearance required to start, with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI with polygraph

Preferred Qualifications

• Full‑stack or web development experience
• Experience designing and documenting microservice-based architectures
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Background in distributed systems, web applications, and web services
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Familiarity with security tooling (vulnerability scanning, penetration testing)
• Strong debugging, automated testing, and observability experience

Location & Clearance

• Location: Herndon, VA (onsite / federal facility access as required)
