What You’ll Do
- Build and ship components to detect security vulnerabilities, threats, and agentic/AI-assisted threats across cloud services.
- Design and implement data-loss and ransomware detection mechanisms with attention to low false-positive rates.
- Contribute to architecture and design documents focused on reliability, latency, auditability, and secure enforcement.
- Turn product requirements into well-scoped engineering tasks and deliver them independently with guidance from senior engineers.
- Write well-tested, secure code and participate in code reviews and security reviews.
- Own features end-to-end through implementation, testing, and production rollout.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Solid coding experience in SQL, Java, and Python.
- Working knowledge of network security fundamentals (TLS/SSL, HTTP/S, DNS), Zero Trust principles, or Data Loss Prevention (DLP) concepts.
- Experience or exposure to building distributed backend systems; openness to full-stack work when needed.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and controls (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their networking/security features.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills; eagerness to learn and expand ownership.
Nice to Have / Bonus Points
- Exposure to cloud-native security controls (e.g., VPC Service Controls, PrivateLink).
- Experience with egress control, network perimeter enforcement, or policy engines.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and security tooling.
- Contributions to open-source security projects, security research, or capture-the-flag competitions.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated base salary range: $160,000 — $230,000 (US roles).
- Eligible for bonus and equity programs.
