Software Engineer, Tokenization
The Software Engineer on the Tokenization team at Confidential Client will design and build backend services enabling 24/7 tradable tokenized equities on decentralized exchanges. About the role
Confidential Client’s Tokenization team is building the infrastructure to make public and private equity tradable 24/7 on decentralized exchanges. You will own and operate backend services that enable issuance, custody, reconciliation, and on-chain settlement of tokenized equities. This role is located in New York, NY. In-person attendance is expected at least 3 days per week.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, test, and deploy backend services that mint, custody, and settle tokenized equities with correctness and auditability as core requirements
- Implement integrations between traditional brokerage systems (ledgers, corporate actions) and on-chain systems (smart contracts, chain indexers, DEX flows)
- Ship product-facing features and platform capabilities for correctness-critical flows (idempotency, reconciliation, failure-mode handling)
- Improve system performance, reliability, and engineering productivity through instrumentation, automation, and design improvements
- Collaborate closely with product, compliance, and platform teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions that move real customer assets
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong backend development experience in Go, Python, or Java and familiarity with cloud-native architectures
- Solid system design and data modeling skills for distributed, correctness-critical systems
- Experience or strong interest in blockchain fundamentals (EVM, smart contracts, wallets, on-chain settlement) and a demonstrated ability to learn deeply and quickly
- Ownership mindset and experience delivering end-to-end projects in cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

Compensation (base pay for New York, NY)
- Zone 1 (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC): $166,000—$195,000 USD (base pay range for New York, NY). In addition to base pay, the role may be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits. Final compensation will depend on job-related factors such as experience, location, and business needs.
