What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead multiple engineering teams that design, build, and deliver secure, scalable enterprise software. You will combine technical depth with strong people leadership and collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, QA, DevOps, and Customer Success to drive high-quality outcomes.
- Lead and develop multiple teams of software engineers and engineering managers.
- Define and drive technical strategy, execution, and delivery across product initiatives.
- Partner with Product Management to shape roadmaps and prioritize engineering work.
- Foster a culture of quality, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Coach, mentor, and grow engineers through feedback, career development, and succession planning.
- Build and scale high-performing, distributed engineering teams.
- Ensure delivery of secure, reliable, and highly available enterprise and SaaS software.
- Collaborate with Architecture on long-term platform strategy and cloud-native patterns.
- Promote Agile development practices and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Improve engineering metrics around quality, velocity, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
- Work with Security and Compliance teams to embed secure software development practices.
- Participate in hiring, workforce planning, budgeting, and organizational planning.
- Communicate status, risks, and strategic roadmaps effectively to executive leadership.
What We’re Looking For
Candidates should demonstrate a strong balance of technical and managerial experience in enterprise software environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field — or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years leading software engineering teams, including experience managing managers.
- Proven track record building enterprise SaaS or commercial software products.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous delivery.
- History of partnering effectively with Product Management and Architecture organizations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to hire, mentor, and scale engineering organizations.
Preferred (nice-to-have)
- Deep experience with observability, reliability engineering, and metrics-driven improvements.
- Background working in identity/access management, security, or large-scale enterprise platforms.

Location & Work Model
