What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Software Engineer to support data engineering, analytics, and machine learning initiatives. You will work on building and maintaining scalable data solutions, authoring ETL pipelines, and helping bring AI/ML projects to production. This is a full-time role and may require relocation anywhere within the United States for onsite client projects.

• Develop, test, and maintain data engineering and AI solutions using Python
• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for extraction, transformation, and analytics
• Design and support end-to-end data pipelines and workflows (ETL/ELT)
• Collect, clean, transform, and analyze structured and unstructured data
• Automate repetitive data processing tasks and troubleshooting data pipeline issues
• Collaborate with developers, data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
• Support the development, validation, and deployment of machine learning models and AI prototypes
• Document technical solutions, processes, and runbooks
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging tools in data engineering and AI

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 1–4 years of relevant experience in data engineering, data analytics, machine learning, or AI engineering (entry-level to early career)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field (Master’s preferred but not required)
• Strong proficiency with Python
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
• Experience developing end-to-end data solutions and familiarity with ETL concepts
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal English communication skills
• Willingness to relocate within the United States for client onsite assignments

Preferred Skills

• Experience with one or more cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP, or Databricks
• Familiarity with PySpark, AWS S3, AWS Lambda, EC2, Airflow, or managed data services
• Exposure to machine learning, generative AI, or computer vision projects
• Understanding of probability and statistics
• Experience with version control (GitLab, Git)
• Experience with R is a plus

Compensation & Work Type

• Employment type: FULL_TIME
• Target pay (per source): $30.00 — $35.00 per hour
• This role is entry-level / early-career and may require relocation for client engagements.
